Catherine grew-up in Nebraska and spent five and a half years in Boston before moving to San Francisco in 2010. As a trained elementary and special education teacher, she has loved working with children for the past decade and finds special joy in supporting blossoming families and their infants. Catherine loves to spread knowledge and enjoys educating new parents and parents-to-be about their different options as well as the current best practices in baby care. She truly believes knowledge is power! As a bar certified lawyer, Catherine understands the pressures that busy parents face and enjoys supporting all the different members of the growing families that she works with!
Catherine has both a Masters in Education in Curriculum and Instruction and a Juris Doctorate. She loves volunteering for different organizations in San Francisco and can frequently be found reading books with her cat curled up in her lap! Emily is originally from the woods of New Hampshire and moved to the Bay Area in 2015. She has always been fascinated by birth and babies and feels really blessed to be so passionate about her work as a doula. Emily provides coping techniques, information, and resources to help families prepare for a personal and empowering birth and postpartum experience. She has a deep trust in the physiology of pregnancy, labor and birth, and offers a calm and reassuring presence. Emily is also a holistic practitioner and loves supporting women in pregnancy and postpartum to nourish their bodies, their babies, and also their minds. Emily feels blessed and honored to support new mothers, families and babies during such a precious time!
Emily has a Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience and Biology and continues to study mindfulness, and the link between the mind and the immune system. In her free time, Emily loves to cook tasty meals, catch up with her sisters and friends, and spend time outside!
